| WEDDING FAQ'S Q: Will we meet before the wedding day? A: It is easier to capture the emotions and style of the day if I get to know you and your fiance beforehand. When you fillout my contact page I will email you a wedding packed that includes a checklist of photos and my contract. We will go over this checklist at ou meeting. We we will also discuss your style and the schedule of you big day. Preparation of a schedule of pictures before the big day helps us have more flexibility and less stress on your big day!
Q: How long will pictures take? When should I schedule my ceremony/reception? A. Traditonally the formal and posed pictures are done before and/or immediately after the ceremony. If you do not want to see your fiance before the ceremony, I recommend scheduling the start of your reception two hours after the ceremony so that we will have time for Bride and Groom pictures. GETTING READY/SALON: Approximately 60 to 120 minutes. This time will be majority candid photographs of salon time for the girls, dressing at the church, and those times between formal pictures and the ceremony. This time is included of course in full day coverage. PREFORMALS-Bride's Group Shots at the church. Approximately 30 to 45 minutes. This includes Bride, Bridesmaids, and the Brides' immediate family. We usually do the Brdie first as to avoid any guest inadvertantly seeing her as they arrive, but we can schedule the groom's group shots first if needed. - PREFORMALS-Groom's Group Shots at the church. Approximately 30 to 45 minutes. This includes the Groom, Groomsmen, and the Groom's immediate Family. Keep in mind that guests will start to arrive 30 minutes before the ceremony starts, so we will need to be done by then.
- CEREMONY AND DISMISSAL/RECEIVING LINE: Approximately 45 to 60 minutes. The ceremony itself can range from 30 to 60 minutes depending on your denomination. Dismissal of rows and/or a receiving line can last 10 to 20 minutes.
- POST FORMALS-Bride and Groom Group Shots. Approximately 60 to 120 minutes If you do not wan to see you fiance before the ceremony then this will be the time we will shoot bride and groom with both side of the family, then bridal party shots, and then bride and groom alone pictures.
- TRAVELING TO DIFFERENT LOCATION: Please add an extra 1.5 to 2 hours to the shooting schedule before or after if we plan on going to another location for portraits. If you are wanting Brdie and Groom Group Shots at anohther location, add the time into that catergory.
- RECEPTION I recommend scheduling your reception at least two hours after the ceremony so that we will have time for Bride and Groom pictures. For example, if your ceremony starts at 3:00, then your invitation will imform guests your reception starts at 5:00 or later. Please factor the time it will take to travel between the ceremony and reception locations.
Q: Why don't you include a print credit in your package? A: I have found that it is less expensive for you if I provide you with a cd of your images and you take it to a larger chain printer like Walgreens. I do not do printing. I will give you a Printing Rights release form with your discs. This permission is included with high resolution disks, with which the owner may make prints for personal use and sharing, as well as use for their personal blogs, sites, and social networks. The owner may not redistribute the disk in any manner. I will retain the copyright, so that I may use your images in my advertising.
Q. How many pictures do I end up with at the end of the wedding day? A. Most full day weddings will end up with between 500 and 800 images from your special day. PORTRAIT FAQ'S Q: Do you have a studio? Where will we shoot the pictures? A: I do not have a studio for Portrait Sessions, which means I have very little overhead. You are able to choose your location and I will meet you there. I have many locations around Michiana that work well for Family and Senior Portraits if you need help choosing.
Q: What should I wear for a photo session (seniors, engagement, maternity, family)? A: This is really up to you, but I can give you some helpful tips:) Most photographers recommend darker colors on top because light colors can make you look washed out. Long sleeves also photograph well. The skin exposed from short sleeves can also draw attention away from the face. Busy patterns can also draw attentions away from the face. I also like to move you around a lot when shooting outside, so try to wear something comfortable.
If you are bringing a change of clothes for Senior Pictures, we will need to think ahead of where you will be changing. I usually recommend bringing different shirts and wearing an undershirt. Many parks that we could shoot in should have a restroom where you can change your clothes.
